OAKTOWNTRUCK'S MEMBER STANDARDS

Oaktown Trucks thrives not only on the quality of vehicles that are represented in the club but also the personality of the vehicle owners. Oaktown prides itself on members with great personalities who are easy going and like to have fun. We don't have a lot of rules. The club functions without a president or council. We are a group of custom truck owners who enjoy the sport and each others company. Members should be willing to help each other out and also be willing to help give back to the community. We have participated in many community service efforts to help build a reputable name for ourselves.

Our biggest accomplishment to date is the Custom Rides for Saving Lives Car & Truck Show that was put on by Oaktown Trucks in conjunction with the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life. It was our first show and we had just over 100 vehicles attend. At the end of the day Oaktown Trucks presented a check for $2,331 to the American Cancer Society. We also donated to Toys for Tots and tsunami victim relief.

To see what it takes to join our group just look at the Members Rides and see what we look for. We look for potential members who mesh well with the rest of us and who are willing to uphold the reputation of Oaktown Trucks. We do not have a lot of rules and recognize the fact that a club should be fun and not all work. However, occasionally some work will be required like planning for a show and fund raising.

Members must be willing to attend an occasional show, group meetings and have fun. So if you are a perspective member, drop us a line, email us some photos, and we will see you at the next show.

HOW TO BECOME A MEMBER

Oaktown Trucks is open to all makes and models of trucks and SUV’s, full-size or mini. We only require that it be lowered and have a few other custom modifications. No stock suspensions please.

Prospective members are voted in by current members. Voting will take place after prospects spend a reasonable amount of time getting to know the club and it’s members

Once voted in, the prospect then becomes a Junior Member of Oaktown Trucks and will receive a www.oaktowntrucks.com sticker for their vehicle. Junior Members must then go through a one month probationary period. After one month the Junior Member, if still in good standing, will become a full member of Oaktown Trucks and will be allowed to affix an Oaktown Trucks logo sticker on their vehicle. A one time $20 membership fee is also required.

New members, as well as current members, are required to attend group meetings from time to time. Miss three meetings in a row, without a legitimate excuse, and you risk losing your member status

If you would like to join Oaktown Trucks and feel you can meet these requirements, email info@oaktowntrucks.com
